Dr. Linda Steele

Dr. Linda is passionate about helping children build and maintain the healthiest and most beautiful versions of their still-developing smiles. As a mother herself, she understands some of the unique challenges parents face regarding their family’s oral health and goes above and beyond to help you and your little one feel welcome and cared for each time you walk through the doors.

Dr. Linda strives to provide a welcoming, engaging environment that helps you and your kid feel like VIPs while under her care. As a result, she focuses on using the safest, gentlest, and highest quality dental products and services. She also takes the time to get to know your child so she can monitor their dental health over time and provide quality, customized treatment plans tailored to their individual circumstances.

Dr. Linda initially planned to become a veterinarian, but during a college break one year, she worked for an oral surgeon and quickly became fascinated by dentistry. After that, she decided to pursue an education in oral healthcare instead and fell in love with pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Linda earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry (now known as the Texas A&M Health Science Center at Dallas School of Dentistry), then completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Today, she has over 25 years of experience providing a full menu of quality services for kids ages 0 to 18 to meet even the most unique needs.

As if that weren’t impressive enough, Dr. Linda remains committed to continuing education and actively participates with several prestigious organizations to stay current with the latest dental technology and treatments, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Texas Dental Association.

When she’s not in the office helping kids build healthy teeth and gums, Dr. Linda can be found spending time with her husband, Dr. Darrell Steele, who is an oral surgeon. They enjoy traveling, especially to Germany, where Dr. Linda has family, and to the beaches in the Florida panhandle.

Dr. Raquel Hazbun

Dr. Raquel is a compassionate pediatric dentist who enjoys establishing lasting relationships to help teach kids the value of building a healthy smile that will serve them for the rest of their lives. She strives to create a positive environment so that patients feel at ease when they arrive, then takes the time to get to know their unique needs so she can provide solutions to address them.

Dr. Raquel earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where she also completed her pediatric residency. During this time, she served patients with both general and specialized health care needs, and her training included both academic and clinical experience in pediatric sedation and hospital dentistry. That makes her an expert who can help with everything from routine preventive visits to emergency dental care for kids of all ages and abilities.

Today, Dr. Raquel stays up to date with advancements in dental technology and treatments by actively participating in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Texas Dental Association.

When she’s not helping your child feel like a rock star in the dental office, you can find her volunteering within her community, traveling to different parts of the world, or spending quality downtime with beloved friends and family.

Best dentist and staff in Coppell! Highly experienced and recommended. Amazing office, clean and comfortable, fun decor, movie selections during treatment, coffee for tired moms! They've thought of everything and are good at the process with kids to make them feel comfortable which takes the stress off me too. My kids will only go here.

Why Are You Looking for a Dentist Near Highland Village?

Whether you are seeking a new pediatric dentist for routine checkups and cleanings or your child has an oral issue requiring repair, our compassionate team looks forward to meeting them so we can provide customized treatment plans to meet their unique needs. Continue reading to learn more about the specific services we offer near Highland Village!

My Child Needs a Checkup & Cleaning

To help ensure that your kid’s still-developing smile is always red-carpet-ready, our team recommends scheduling a routine exam and cleaning every 6 months. This allows us to monitor their condition so we can catch and treat areas of concern before they progress into more serious problems with standard services like placing sealants or applying topical fluoride.

We can also assess your child’s current oral health risk and help address other issues, such as teething, non-nutritive habits, and support their development of a healthy at-home dental hygiene routine.

My Child has Special Needs

Our providers understand that some children live with health conditions or other circumstances that can make it harder to care for their teeth and gums and are trained to help meet their individual needs. We are happy to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your child’s oral health and to go above and beyond to help ensure they have what they need to get through their upcoming visit successfully.

My Child is Afraid of the Dentist

Your child isn’t the first to feel scared to visit the dentist and almost certainly won’t be the last. Our dedicated providers near Highland Village understand that they might feel nervous and offer three options for dental sedation, which might help.

For example, nitrous oxide is inhaled through a gas mask placed over their nose while we work, IV sedation is administered directly to their bloodstream for a stronger effect, and general anesthesia is available for those with certain behavioral or physical disabilities or extreme anxiety.

My Child has a Dental Emergency

Kids have accidents all the time, and unfortunately, these can sometimes result in dental damage. If your child has developed an emergency, getting help quickly can often make all the difference needed to save their smile.

Our team near Highland Village reserves time for same-day emergency appointments and provides sedation to help your child feel calm and comfortable, regardless of the cause of their urgent issue, so they won’t have to wait long for some much-needed relief. Once we’ve examined their mouth and determined the root problem, we can provide a treatment plan to address it.

My Child Needs a Crown or Filling

Tooth decay in baby teeth can spread to the jawbone and affect how the permanent ones grow, so it’s best to treat cavities and damaged teeth sooner rather than later. Our team offers tooth-colored fillings and customized dental crowns to repair and restore injured enamel while allowing your kid to continue using their teeth to eat, speak, and smile normally.

My Child Needs Tongue Tie Treatment

If the bands of tissue beneath your child’s tongue or behind their lips are too thick or short, it can limit their mouth’s range of motion. Initially, this can prevent babies from latching properly during nursing, which can contribute to colic or malnutrition.

If left untreated, this can also eventually contribute to ongoing concerns, like struggling to chew food thoroughly, eat from utensils, or developing altered speech patterns. Our team will examine your child’s mouth to verify whether they have a problem and refer them to a specialist with state-of-the-art equipment to help correct it.
